Voter databases must be secured

Many wonder about the security of the US elections. There was swirling suspicion around both of the Bush “wins”. Another aspect was the introduction of the Diebold voting machine and others that were similar. Now another achilles heel is finally starting to receive attention in the media. The databases that contain voter information. The holy grail of database hacks. Now notice is being taken,

“Nobody’s done this kind of analysis,” said Barbara Simons, an author of the report and past president of the Association for Computing Machinery. “We’re not out to criticize anyone. We’re out to try to provide information.”
