Blogs ‘essential’ to a good career

I often wonder if writing a blog has any real value. I found a little bit of validation over on boston.com.

Blogging is good for your career. A well-executed blog sets you apart as an expert in your field.

Nice to know there is some value to be had :)

1. Blogging creates a network.
2. Blogging can get you a job.
3. Blogging is great training.
4. Blogging helps you move up quickly.
5. Blogging makes self-employment easier.

Update: Apparently, judging by some comments, sarcasm is lost on a lot of people. It is nice to know that I can still be mistaken for a “younger generation” in my mid 30′s.

It’s funny how sarcasm is lost on people. Granted not the highest form of communication. But, a little examination would tell someone that I’ve been at this for 10 years. Ah well.
