Well, it certainly didn’t take long for EMC to start touting the benfits of their purchase of RSA Security. They are planning to combine their storage with the encryption technology that they aqcuired in the RSA takeover.
The new technology will turn storage arrays into public-key infrastructure (PKI) devices, using the CPU cycles of the arrays to speed up the encryption and decryption process.
This is the first of what I can only imagine will be many announcements from EMC.
