So, why the DHS briefing on yesterdays patch release from Microsoft? Simple really. This particular patch has been released to combat a live exploit. This particular attack is being executed in the wild right now. Apparently, this is a single packet attack that has multiple attack vectors. Be sure to apply patches as soon as possible. Or you could always switch to FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Linux…you do have options.
