Your November 10th Morning Cup of Bite Me
Author: Dave Lewis
So, what’s with the tone this morning? I have had the rather unpleasant experience of being second guessed by a pencil necked geek “exec” that thinks he knows more about security that I do. Not by any means to say that I know everything, I certainly don’t. But, this guy knows less than my local coffee barista. This is a common problem in this industry. I have heard stories from many other security practitioners about being second guessed. In this case the “exec” sent an email to my boss complaining about a solution I had rolled out. Well, this putz is annoyed simply due to the fact that I did his job for him. The solution I rolled out was something that he was supposed to do a couple years ago. I loath the shortbus silo defenders.
