Hacker Suspected Behind Massive Virus

A hacker with a grudge against Symantec, an anti-virus software company, could be behind a new, crippling computer virus attacking U.S. corporations, CNNMoney reported Thursday.

Symantec provides its software to Fortune 500 companies. However, four major employers in Columbia, including SCANA and Blue Cross/Blue Shield, said they had not been hit with the virus. The virus did attack The State newspaper’s computer system.

It appears that someone has picked up where Gigabyte left off.
