OK, this is cool. Google has now produced a Gtalk widget gadget for use on your personalized home page.
Very cool. And (ah hem) you can add Liquidmatrix Security Digest to your own Google home page as well.

UPDATE: Steve Rubel has noticed that there is a “call” button (currently grayed out) on the client. It looks like Google will be adding web-based VoIP to their GTalk client soon.
UPDATE: I tested this gadget today (March, 15) through Websense and it was blocked no problem. A welcome result.
