Diebold has filed suit against the state of Massachusetts for purchasing voting machines from a competitor. Um, huh? According to the article the other systems provide greater accessibility to the handicapped.
Diebold says it will ask a judge to overturn the selection of AutoMARK , a Diebold business competitor, because the office of Secretary of State William F. Galvin failed to choose the best machine.
So wait…they picked the lesser machine? The system that was apparently better for handicapped voters?
“We compete against AutoMARK around the country all the time,” Weisberg said. “Based on the criteria set out by the Commonwealth, we had a fair degree of confidence we’d come out on top, and nothing we heard during the process dissuaded us of that confidence.”
Holy crap, are you kidding me with this? Diebold is developing a persecution complex it would appear. We won’t even get into their security track record.
