Microsoft Hacker Blog Now “ACE Team”

Um, OK. Not my first pick for a blog name but, it’s not my show. If they wanted to make it really interesting I would imagine using something other than hex to mask it. Within the posting they used hex to “hide” the new blog name (“%41%43%45%20%54%65%61%6d”). That would have been…oh never mind.

The good news is that they are finally posting content on the site.

From Techjunkie:

Initially I had named the blog “hackers @ Microsoft” and tried to be pretty clear on the point that when we’re talking about hackers, we’re talking strictly white hat, legal and ethical hackers. However there was some concerns raised that the average blog reading audience may not be able to discern the difference, and we may inadvertently associate Microsoft with the negative connotations of the word “hacker” that is out there.

What I originally thought might be an interesting site may be little more than a “drink the koolaid” site.

I know, shocking.

But, I remain hopeful. It is only the beginning after all.

We’re going to get underway quickly; we have many interesting things to talk about.

Thanks for your patience!

You’re welcome.
