On your cell phone? That's hardly appropriate.

Based on the web traffic that I have seen from auto companies on this posting since Monday I'd say that someone is listening. Hope springs.

Should they manage to rebuild the car that will definitely be something to consider. Bloody brilliant!

We bought a Ford a while ago and ever since the warranty expired I've been harassed by robo-calls to buy the extended warranty... on my cell phone.

I have serious doubts I'll ever buy one again. Love the car, but I don't want to support a company that treats their customers so poorly. I could imagine 1 or 2 calls from a sales person, but not a dozen robocalls.

Glad to hear you and wifey are ok.

You should have kicked the tire under his car - Im sure he would be even more delayed if he had a tire wedged between his oil pan and the hwy.

Glad to hear that all turned out well.

The Ford employee's reaction reminds me of a time when I stopped to check on a driver that had just crashed at 50+ MPH in the rain. The car was completely totaled, front end splayed out over the road in a million pieces. Thankfully, the driver seemed to be okay as I saw no obvious signs of physical trauma, but I didn't let her get out of the car in case she was in shock. When the police and aid units arrived, they took care of her and I left.

However, before any aid units arrived and while I was the only person on the scene, a car drove past in the only unblocked lane of four, and yelled, "That's what you get for going too fast, you moron!!!" at the driver in the decimated vehicle.

I take guilty satisfaction in knowing that perpetually bitter people will always get whats coming to them in the end.
