Ah, what a kick in the teeth. I’ve had a pretty good run of finding security vulnerabilities in security vendor offerings of late. I do enjoy using virtual machines for testing. I have found ten so far with four published. Yesterday, I discovered an information disclosure problem in what I thought was number eleven. But it turns out that someone got to it just over a month ago. Ah well. Ugh, and I just realized that the “briefing” for the 12th didn’t get published as I set the timer incorrectly. Damn fingers. They never fing. Oh wait…there they go.

And now, the news…

  1. Corporate espionage: Not if, but when
  2. Encryption server promises automatic security
  3. Password-stealing hackers infect thousands of Web pages
  4. UK defense department loses 11,000 military ID cards
  5. HealthNow data goes missing as laptop vanishes
  6. Cisco, Adobe Issue Security Bulletins
  7. Pointsec Disk Encryption Cracked? Not so fast…
  8. Screeners Find Skeleton In Luggage
  9. Bank targets widespread debit-card scam
