What? What the hell did they just say? The kid wrote malware, it’s not like he cracked some major systems with homebrewed vulnerabilities that shook the world of information security. It’s a botnet, it’s not ‘leet’, its lame as hell and I can’t believe they let him go.

Big props to New Zealand and Dutch police, the FBI and the US Secret Service. Way to send a strong message that botnets and malware will not be tolerated.

Somewhat astounding that they would reward this type of behaviour. I mean, I know this happens but, for them to admit the recruitment publicly is just a sad commentary on how badly the parties involved just don’t “get it”.
