It would appear that there will shortly be a job vacancy at Hydro Quebec. A file folder containing security plans and passwords was found sitting on a Metro platform in Montreal. Now, for the uninitiated this is bad. Hydro Quebec is one of many companies that make up critical infrastructure for North America.
The documents had been in a briefcase belonging to a Hydro-Quebec security adviser, who placed it at his feet while he he had lunch with his colleagues on March 10. At the end of his meal, he realized the briefcase had disappeared
Now the irony here is that the “stolen” documents magically appeared on a subway bench? Bullsh!t. I’ll lay even money that they were simply forgotten on the bench. The best part of course was that the docs were discovered by a staffer for Radio-Canada the french affiliate for CBC. This kind of slip of has the potential to be catastrophic. But, being a government job…
In the meantime, the employee who had the briefcase stolen will keep his job. “It’s a very unfortunate situation”
. Guess you’d bascially have to shoot a busload of nuns to get fired from Hydro Quebec.
